The Checkmate Health humanitarian mission is deeply rooted in compassion, dedication, and an unending desire to make a positive change in the lives of the underserved and marginalized. We have been actively contributing in the NY community since our company’s inception. Helping humanity through healthcare has been the purpose in our heart since the very start.
During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Checkmate Health Strategies stood tall as a beacon of hope in NYC. With tireless commitment, we took it upon ourselves to spearhead testing for the homeless. We worked hand in hand with The Bowery Mission, a renowned organization that has been a safe haven serving the poverty stricken and homeless community for over 150 years. Through the unwavering support of both our organizations we were able to provide crucial healthcare services to the individuals in need at the mission to help them more safely navigate and survive that harrowing time.
In February 2023 we formed an alliance with Winter Walk, a non-profit organization based in Boston. Together we organized the first ever Winter Walk event in NYC. This inaugural event raised awareness and funds upward of $175,000 for the Bowery Mission. 100% of the funds raised were given to support the remarkable services and programs The Bowery Mission offers to help transform the lives of those in need, and getting them back on their feet This initiative moved our dedication forward from not only delivering essential healthcare but also engaging our greater community to make valued contributions that will uplift and empower the underserved. The Winter Walk collaboration became a symbol of solidarity in our city as its intention of uniting individuals from all walks of life to combat homelessness and create a more compassionate society was held reverently by all who attended.
At Checkmate, we firmly believe, in fact we know, that as we continue to grow, our ability to dedicate ourselves to acts of service that improve the lives of the most vulnerable among us, will expand exponentially. Our impact through the realm of healthcare extends beyond any perceived borders and we will help to change the very fabric of our world to become more compassionate, empathetic and peaceful.
Through our actions and our growing educational initiatives, we strive to be a catalyst for positive change. Setting an example by actively demonstrating the importance of empathy and understanding, we call in others to be brave and follow suit. We firmly believe that education and service is key to creating a new world, and we are committed to sharing our knowledge and expertise to empower individuals, and communities.
